9/26/08 - Water Council Meets to Discuss Flourishing Wastewater Industry in Milwaukee
Advanced Chemical Systems was honored to be invited to the Milwaukee 7 Water Council's "Strategic Actioning Sessions" on September 24th & 25th. The Milwaukee 7 Water Council pursues its mission to make the Milwaukee Region the world water hub for freshwater research, economic development and education. Developed in 2007, the Water Council consists of members from business, academia and government working in collaboration to accomplish the mission and vision.
At the meetings, many stimulating new ideas and developments were discussed. For example, Wastewater companies will be partnering with Wisconsin Universities to create a research facility on the shores of lake Michigan. New research will also be conducted to find more effective and environmentally friendly wastewater treatment chemicals.
This is just the foundation for Milwaukee's rise to the top of the wastewater industry, and we can't wait to see how our company and city can facilitate this growth!
9/10/08 - Advanced Chemical Systems has introduced a new product, BF 90C Plus!
BENZO FLOC 90C Plus is a stabilized slurry of hydroxide salts and organic materials designed for use in both industrial and municipal wastewater treatment applications. BENZO FLOC 90C Plus can be used to replace hydrated lime, magnesium hydroxide, or sodium hydroxide in the neutralization of acid waste streams. It also works very well as a substitute for sodium hydroxide as it will quickly raise the pH of a solution before a flocculent is added. The product will precipitate heavy metals, remove phosphorous, absorb and remove silica, aid in clarification, and stabilize sludge. UPDATE 10/14/08: Customers using BF 90C Plus to treat water prior to filter pressing have seen vast improvements in sludge integrity, including dryer and more compressed sludge bricks.
